Brittany Hudspeth She/Her
*I have teletherapy/video services available for people who are currently in the state of PA or MD at the time of the session*
Things are changing and it can be difficult. It can be important to understand ourselves to be able to navigate this world. We often struggle with our own experiences and internal worlds. I can offer you space and understanding to work through those difficult questions and experiences you are having with a non-judgmental voice. I understand that our lives don’t fit that traditional model and they don’t have to. Carl Jung said “The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no one recipe for living that suits all cases”. I have experience working with people who are in non traditional relationships along with those who are in the Kink/BDSM community. I also enjoy working with those who identify as a furry. I am a AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. This certification requires 150 hrs of Sex Specific Education and a year of supervision provided by approved sex therapist supervisor.
I will work with you to develop tools and understanding of what is going on and how to handle it. I will work with your strengths and your stability. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which uses mindfulness and acceptance along with commitment and behavioral change to create a more present and value oriented life. I am very passionate about ACT and completed a 18 month intensive program dedicated to enhancing my ACT skills.
I am very open and welcoming and enjoy laughter. It can be a very difficult process to start therapy and I try to make it as easy as possible. Feel free to reach out to me and we can have a conversation about what is going on.
I do NOT work with couples.
I do NOT accept Medicare or Medicaid (UPMC for YOU or Highmark wholecare)
